The white one was a gift and so also ghe small brown one. The brown one is from Sweden and was a gift from friends after their visit to that country. The blackish looking one is actually made from real silver and is again a gift given by a friend in UAE. I have to get it polished and shining one of these days. :}
Pictures of antiques and other pretty things around the house bought from our travels abroad, bought from antique shops, were gifted, bought at auctions, garage sales, church bazaars, Dollar Shops and inherited from parents.

Christmas pretties ..... ONE
We have countless Christmas-themed little things that I try to bring out and display in the living room every Christmas. They give that special nice feeling. The best time to buy this sort of stuff is after the Christmas holidays when stores want to get rid of their X'mas things. We have picked up some great pretties like these for a song.
Birds
I bought these at a church bazaar many years ago. Since then I have kept my eyes open for similar pieces to add to this collection but so far have not been lucky. These are wall hangings but I keep them propped up on the book shelves.
Japanese tea kettle
I have no idea how this pretty piece is still intact. I remember playing with it when I was a little girl. I used to use it as a vase too in my childhood. There's not a single dent anywhere on this piece.
Glass house
This was bought in the United Arab Emirates. Made in China of course, but it is very nicely made and the dried flowers and weeds are arranged beautifully.
Also, behind the glass house you can see some of our priced books. We have many antique books and I will try to photograph them at a later date.
